He was an Army veteran serving in World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10600 in Blairstown, New Jersey and a former member of the Benda Rohrich Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Garfield. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Clifton. He was preceded in death by his wife. Previously, she worked for Westin Biscuit of Clifton. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Prime Timers, Msgr. Anthony Stein Assembly 0645, and St. Philip’s Cornerstone Retreat. And, she was a member of the Clifton Republican Club.

    Stella Rose (nee Sokolowski) Bulna, 101, of Clifton passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016.
    Born in Passaic, Mrs. Bulna lived in Garfield and Blairstown before moving to Clifton in 1999. Before retiring she was a machine operator with Datascope Co., of Paramus. Previous employment was with Westin Biscuit of Clifton. Mrs. Bulna was a parishioner of St. Philip The Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Prime Timers and Msgr. Anthony Stein Assembly 0645 where she was known as Lady Stella. She also participated in the St. Philip's Cornerstone Retreat and was a member of the Clifton Republican Club.
    She was predeceased by her sister, Bertha Doviak.

    Funeral Services are 9:15 am Tuesday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip The Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Monday 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip The Apostle R.C. Church Rosary Society, 797 Valley Road, Clifton, NJ 07013.
