He was an Army veteran serving in World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10600 in Blairstown, New Jersey and a former member of the Benda Rohrich Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Garfield. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Clifton. He was preceded in death by his wife.   Anna Treuer
  February 12, 1927 ~ August 26, 2017 (age 90)
  Anna (nee Wdowiak) Treuer, 90, of Clifton, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born and raised in Garfield, Mrs. Treuer resided in Clifton for most of her life. She had been an active parishioner at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton for 48 years. Mrs. Treuer was a member of the St. Philip's Prime Timers where she enjoyed time with her friends. Though, she most enjoyed spending time with her family. She devoted her life to caring for family and dear friends in her home.
  Mrs. Treuer was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin L. Treuer in 2002; two brothers, John and Joseph Doviak and one sister, Helen Komsa.

  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:45 am from the funeral home and 11:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers New Jersey, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834.
