Boron, Helen
HIGHLAND - Helen Boron, age 85, of Highland, died on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison following a brief illness. The former Helen Plaza was born on Dec. 25, 1920, in Hawkins, to John and Anna (Wojtowicz) Plaza. She married Ludwig Boron on July 5, 1941, and they were blessed with 63 years of marriage before his death on Dec. 14, 2004. The couple lived in Chicago where Helen worked for Johnson & Johnson Surgical Products from 1958 until retiring to Highland in 1977. Helen was a member of Saints Anthony and Philip Parish. Helen is survived by […]PRIV; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Plaza of Hawkins; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jim Schoemehl; five sisters, Mary Plaza, her twin Eva Plaza at birth, Anna Dorota, Barbara Podborny and Frances Sokolowski; and four brothers, Mike, Tony, Frank and Edward Plaza. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at ST. PHILIP'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Highland. Father Kenneth J. Frisch will officiate with burial in St. Philip’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday after 9 a.m. The McGuire-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Highland, is serving the family. |
