    David Nickolai Runnheim, 77, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice on Friday, April 3, 2015. He was born in Hawkins, Wisconsin, on December 13, 1937, the son of Nickolai and Katherine (Plaza) Runnheim.  He was married to Nancy Ellis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 6, 1967. He was employed in Prentice as a welder by Omark Industries, which later became Blount Inc. until the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Chequamegon Club of Prentice. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, taxidermy, wood carving, painting, watching and feeding wildlife.
    He is survived by […]PRIV. His wife, Nancy, preceded him in death on November 26, 2009; by one son, Tim; and by one sister, Beverly Lazar.
    Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice with Pastor Jonn Morrow of the New Hope Baptist Church of Kennan officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.  Inurnment will be in the Prentice Cemetery in Prentice.

    Nickolis "Nick" Michael Runnheim, 79, passed away at his home in Catawba, WI, on October 25, 2023. Nick was born to Nickolai and Katherine (Plaza) Runnheim on July 2, 1944. He was happily married to […]PRIV.
    He kept busy working at Blount in Prentice, WI, until his retirement, along with doing masonry work throughout his life. An avid hunter and fisherman, Nick was often in the woods or on the lake in his free time. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and could often be found at local establishments "shooting the breeze" with whomever happened to sit on the stool beside him. Nick always had a story or joke to tell anyone that would lend an ear.
    Nick is survived by […]PRIV; along with several great grandchildren.
    He is preceded in death by parents, Nickolai and Katherine; brothers, Dave (Nancy) and Brian; sisters, Beverly Lazar and Agnes Schancer; sister-in-law, Florence "Toots"; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Arndt, and Frank "Frosty" Adomaitis.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, W9485 State Highway 8, Catawba_WI, WI, 54515, with Father Madanu Lourdu Raju officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the time of the service at the church. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
